Hookup assistance for low/moderate income households

The Village has received information about hookup assistance for low/moderate income households in the Village. There is money that will be available through the Community Development Block Grant program administered locally by the  Hancock Regional Planning Commssion.

The preliminary application must be filled out and turned into the Village by August 31, 2010. Here are the 2010 HUD guidelines for Hancock County:

1 person                                                                        $21,700

2 persons                                                                      $24,800

3 persons                                                                     $27,900

4 persons                                                                     $31,000

5 persons                                                                     $33,500

6 persons                                                                     $36,000

7 persons                                                                     $38,450

8 persons                                                                     $40,950 

Work on the hookups cannot have already been done – there is no reimbursement available. The application form is here:

I was born in Cincinnati and moved to Vanlue (via Findlay) in 1983. I have been married to Suzanna since 1976 and we have three children. Andrew, our oldest, has been living in the Columbus area for several years, but is returning to the NW Ohio. Stephanie, our oldest daughter, lives in Springfield with her husband and our three grandaughters. Sarah (CeCe) is our youngest and she lives with us here in Vanlue.
